Stillwater's Wondertorium

Maddie I went with a friend and her kids to Stillwater's Wondertorium today and had a wonderful time.  I can tell already that it is going to be one of our favorite places.  The nice thing for us is that it's within walking distance of our house, but for those that may not be as close, it is definitely worth packing up the kids to go.  Honestly, I wanted to hire a sitter for Maddie and go play with all of the cool stuff!

What is the Wondertorium?  Well, it is a really cool play place for kids with different stations.  Stations include:
  • a water/art area where kids can play and paint.
  • Diner area
  • Doctor's office - complete with nursery unit, examining area, front desk and even has wheel chairs and crutches for kids to play in.
  • Japanese Area (This is an area dedicated to Stillwater's Sister City)
  • Block area - complete with small wood blocks or large blue blocks for life size towers
  • Grocery area - where kids can shop or play with a cash register
  • Farm area - to pretend to milk cows and gather eggs
  • 0-24 month room - Maddie loved this area!  She enjoyed all the toys and climbing on things.
  • Large slide and climbing wall
  • Plus other Areas!
I thought this was a great place for kids and while Maddie can't totally enjoy everything yet, I still want to get a pass.  Cost is $6 per person which is kind of high if you are only going to be there a few hours (like we were) but a pretty good deal if you wanted to go all day.  However, they have some really good package prices.  The smallest is a year for $90 for 3 people!  And I believe you can add additional people for $10 each.  This is a great spot for summer and winter play or really just any time.  And with a pass you don't have to feel guilty about spending only a little time there.  Another benefit, it's small enough that those with multiple kids wanting to play in different areas can do so and you can keep your eye on them!  I think this is a great place for Stillwater and we are so lucky to have it!  It's located on North of the High School football stadium and you can check out hours and things here.  I tried to find some pictures but it looks like they are all from a different location.  However, it is really nice and really clean too.  Check it out and mention my name...and they will probably just look at you funny haha, sorry, no discount abilities here but hopefully this will be a fun place for you and your family!
