Cleaning Products - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

My oh my!  It has been an embarrassingly long time since I have posted but it made my day to have people asking about it :)  So, as I get back into the groove of posting after way too long, I thought I would do a product review of some of the new products I have tried.  Many of you may know that with my coupon obsession and now my free sample addiction, I have been able to try several new products.  Some I love, others leave me saying "I'm glad it was free", but I thought I would give you my opinion on some of these products.

Swiffer Wet Jet - WORTH IT!
The swiffer wet jet was an item I have wanted to try for a really long time, but $20 seemed like a lot.  So, when walgreens had them on sale and I had a coupon for $5 off and a free refill with purchase (plus $10 RR), I thought it was the perfect time to try it out.  I was pleasantly surprised by the swiffer wet jet.  Our kitchen floors are wood laminate and a regular mop and water doesn't work on it, it just pools up.  I have used the swiffer with the wet pads but was always annoyed that I had to use 2-3 wet pads to clean my floor.  Being able to spray with the wet jet makes mopping so much easier and gets my floor cleaner.  I would say this is totally worth it!

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser - WORTH IT!
I bought this because I had a coupon and it intrigued me.  I had wanted to try this but honestly I was most skeptical of this item.  When I got home I put it to the test on my wall behind our trash can.  I'm not sure how that wall gets so nasty (I never see food splattering up there) but it was pretty gross.  I was shocked at how fast it cleaned it up!  This was an affordable cleaning product and worked wonders...this will probably be my new best friend as kids grow up!

Windex Wipes - BUST
I purchased these because I was hoping for a quick and easy way to clean windows/mirrors without having to carry around newspaper or paper towels.  I was really interested in the one on a pole to clean outside but hadn't justified spending the dough.  So glad I didn't!  These were horrible.  It left little specks all over my mirrors and windows and I am sure the one on the pole uses the same sort of wipes.  Stick to the blue bottle for now, it's cheaper and you'll be happier.

Unstoppables-ON OCCASION
I got a sample of this and threw it in the wash with some blankets.  I am pretty sure that the sole purpose of this product is to make your clothes smell good and they smelled amazing.  I enjoyed using it but wasn't sold on it until last night when I picked up a blanket and after about 3 weeks it still smelled great (which is saying something since we have a dog who loves laying on all our blankets).  This product I would not use everyday or even with my clothes but I would use it for things like blankets or even possibly sheets and towels.

Color Catchter - BUST
I got a sample of the shout color catcher and I'll be honest, I don't do a great job of separating my colors when it comes to laundry and the sheet came out dyed like the commercial showed, but honestly I think this is a product that doesn't really do anything but gives the appearance it has done something.  I would say waste of money.  You get the same effect washing your clothes in cold water.

Well, this is all I can think of for now, but I have a Bounce dryer bar I will be trying soon so be on the lookout for more reviews :)
